Also as it pertains to reactions we donโ€™t react to this series in general because the main studio is copyright strict. If we did any more it would have to be a patreon exclusive thing

Quick version (for the skimmers)

  • I keep mentioning Fate and people keep recommending it like we havenโ€™t seen it ๐Ÿ˜‚
  • My wife and I already watched:
    • Fate/Zero
    • Fate/Stay Night
    • Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works
  • So yeah โ€” weโ€™re familiar with the classes (Saber/Arthur, etc.). Thatโ€™s also why Iโ€™m a Gilgamesh fan.
  • The issue is we just donโ€™t remember every detail because we watched it casually
  • When we watch TV normally, itโ€™s usually background: talking, chores, bathroom breaks, etc.
  • When we react, we actually lock in, and we enjoy the story more because we pay attention
  • Weโ€™ve both done 50+ hour work weeks forever, so thereโ€™s not much โ€œsit and study TVโ€ time
  • If we reacted to Fate, it would honestly feel brand new because this time weโ€™d catch the details we missed

TL;DR: Weโ€™ve seen it, but we watched it casually โ€” reactions = actually paying attention.

Long version (for the readers)

I keep mentioning The Fates weโ€™ve already seen, and people keep recommending it like itโ€™s brand new to us ๐Ÿ˜‚

My wife and I have already watched Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night, and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works โ€” so yeah, weโ€™re familiar with the classes and all that. Like Saber (Arthur), etc. Thatโ€™s also why Iโ€™m a Gilgamesh fan.

The real issue isโ€ฆ we just donโ€™t remember all the details.

Because when we watch TV on our own, we watch it casually. Weโ€™re mainly locked in on the actionโ€ฆ and if folks start yapping? Weโ€™re yapping too ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Weโ€™re talking, going to the bathroom, doing chores, whatever โ€” because for us, TV is usually background entertainment.

But when we do reactions? We actually pay attention, and ironically we enjoy the story more because weโ€™re forced to lock in and catch all the details we missed the first time.

And to keep it realโ€ฆ my wife and I have both always worked 50+ hour work weeks. Thereโ€™s basically no idle time to watch TV like itโ€™s your only job. Thereโ€™s always something to do.

Some people know every single storyline but their house looks like a hurricane hit it. Shout out to that streamer living in a messy home ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

So to my real-life friends, this isnโ€™t a big deal at all. Itโ€™s only when I interact with people online that it becomes a whole โ€œHOW DO YOU NOT REMEMBER??โ€ situation.

But hereโ€™s the funny part: if we reacted to Fate, it would almost feel like a brand new reaction โ€” because this time weโ€™d actually catch and appreciate the details we missed back then.

TL;DR: Me and my wife watch TV casually, so even if weโ€™ve seen something, we might not remember everything for normal reasons.
