From “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” to “The Glory,” rising actress Kim Hieora now jumps onto the much anticipated Season 2 of “The Uncanny Counter.”
She joins the star-studded cast as a villain alongside seasoned actors Kang Ki Young, Yeom Hye Ran, Yoo Jun Sang and more. Ahead of her “The Uncanny Counter 2” debut, Kim Hieora looks back and reflects on her acting career.

Although she didn’t lock any nominations in 2022, Kim Hieora certainly won over the hearts of the public with her transformations.

Last year, she boasted her versatility when she took on two supporting female characters in the mega hit dramas “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and “The Glory.”
In an interview with Esquire Korea, Kim Hieora shared that she didn’t expect her role as a North Korean defector in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” would receive great reception worldwide.

“I had no understanding of the drama. I only read the script for Part 6, which included my scenes only,” the actress confessed. “Then when I watched it from the beginning, I was moved to tears.”
Kim Hieora described it as a “great drama” that also opened doors for her career. Meanwhile, “The Glory” is a work that cemented her name in Hallyu after taking on a drug addict villain.

She shared a funny anecdote about the two works, saying, “It was hilarious to see that fans couldn’t believe that I played both roles in the same year.”
Kim Hieora revealed that she feels nothing but gratefulness for the opportunity to act on screen as well as prove her skills as a top-notch star. She also promised to return with better work in the future.

She told Esquire Korea that this year, she plans to diversify her filmography by trying on new genres, specifically romance comedies.
“I want to try playing a female lead who’s in a deep unrequited love,” Kim Hieora shared. “It’s a genre I’ve never done before and I have a strong desire to discover myself with different works.”

She also wants to do an espionage series where she will be a decoy villain but ends up being on the good side. Basically, the actress wants a work that will make viewers forget about “Kim Hieora.”
This summer of 2023, Kim Hieora returns as Gelli Berherd, a demon who Counters plan to kill in the long anticipated “The Uncanny Counter 2.”
