It felt like we got some direct information on why Mai wanted to leave the spotlight with the swimsuit issue that was caused by her mom aka shitty agent. The Schrödinger’s Cat discussion in the beginning really feels like the foundation for the storyline. All of this could be true and false at the same time, depending on who is observing the results of what is unfolding. Super interesting that the friends know her… maybe sis recalls seeing her? That was not totally confirmed on that phone call. Sakuta’s story about the girl that never existed also makes me think this could possibly be another version of that. Who knows? Just gonna take it in as real for now.
