“Oh man… I don’t even know why I act surprised anymore. It makes perfect sense—it’s his sister, after all. Wow.

I’m so happy Subaru finally has a friend. That’s so cute. Bro, him laughing from pure happiness? After that backstory episode where we learned how isolated he was… in this isekai world, he had enemies, ops, love interests—but never really a bro. Julius was rivals-to-playful-bros, but Otto? No beef, just chill. He’s so fun, so wholesome.

I know people got mad when I first called him a fanboy, but he kinda is—a shy, cutesy little guy. Not like Felix levels, but he’s adorable. He’s nervous, stutters, gets embarrassed… but he straight-up says, ‘I want to be your friend, Subaru.’ My heart. I’m so happy for him… which means the next episode is gonna be terrible.

They end on a high note, let me feel happy? Nah, Re:Zero’s gonna rip my heart out next. That’s how it always works—every single time.

I’m also super confused. We know the whole grandma-loli-child thing ties to Echidna—she lured Subaru in during the tea party. But now she’s just… the Sanctuary keeper? What’s her exact role? They haven’t fully explained it, or maybe I missed it.

And she’s evil, right? But locking Subaru up goes against Echidna’s wishes—she gave permission for the trials. Now the kid’s like, ‘No no no, you’re not letting Emilia face her past properly, so we’re forcing her into the trials.’ Garfiel’s just there as muscle to beat the crap out of Subaru.

Subaru already passed the first trial—confirmed, every loop we respawn having cleared it. But we can’t reach the others because we’re getting kidnapped, killed, or worse. Everything goes terrible. If Emilia couldn’t get past the first one before (when things were good), now with Subaru missing? She’s tweaking out, double stressed. She was just starting to get comfortable and close with him this season—now he’s gone.

I can’t believe Garfiel. I don’t get him as a character—he’s chill with us sometimes, then kidnaps us the next. Helps break the barrier one day, beats us the next. Total gamble. And Beatrice… allegedly (not confirmed) connected to the Witch Cult? Daughter of the Witch? Following a gospel like Petelgeuse did?

When Petelgeuse met Subaru, he was like, ‘You’re not in my gospel—I’m not supposed to meet you.’ Maybe that’s why he was so willing to kill Subaru—he didn’t know the script. And witches’ cult people can fight each other, clearly—Subaru has the Witch Factor or something tied to him, still don’t know what that’s about.

So many dropped threads this episode. If Roswaal knows Beatrice has a gospel/Witch Cult link, is he willingly keeping her as house guardian? Supporting the cult indirectly? Or doing a favor? I don’t know.

I could yap for hours on one episode—new questions every time, no answers yet. But that’s why it’s so good. Every episode back-to-back is unpredictable, never boring. I can never predict what’s coming, and I love that. I try to piece theories together, but they throw new stuff and I scrap everything—how does this fit?

There has to be more with Beatrice. I wonder if they teased it in Season 1—like her reading a black book before we knew what a gospel was. Rewatches probably have so many hints in plain sight.

Does that mean Beatrice called Elsa to murder? Who knows.

Anyway, thank you so much for watching with me through this emotional wreck. Make sure you subscribe, like the video, and drop your thoughts in the comments—what broke you most this ep? Otto’s friendship? Garfiel betrayal? Beatrice gospel?

Check Patreon for full uncut reactions, early access, and where I read/discuss everything in detail (YouTube comments are usually weeks late since most have watched ahead). If you wanna yell at me or tell me I’m wrong, do it there—I’ll read it all.

Thank you again—see you in the next one… if we survive. Bye! 💔”
